"I am an assistant professor in the Dept. of Oceanography at Dalhousie University with an interest in how microbes mediate the biogeochemical cycling of carbon and nutrients, such as nitrogen, in the marine environment. In particular, I am interested in how these microbial ecosystems responded to environmental perturbations, such as those that we as humans are causing (global warming, ocean acidification, nutrient loading, etc). To accomplish this, I use a variety of approaches from field studies and laboratory experiments, to reactive-transport biogeochemical modelling."
